Visit Vermont This Weekend… This Fall
I know we've been writing a lot this week about the after-effects of Hurricane Irene in Marlboro and other towns in Vermont. I felt like I had to let you know that most parts of Vermont are either unaffected by the storm or largely recovered by now. Vermont Woods Studios Furniture and most of our woodworkers are back in business and looking forward to greeting you! So come visit our beautiful state and see what Vermoters are made of.
I'm heading out now to visit my mother in Plattsburgh, New York and I'm pleased to report that my route up I-91 and I-89 is perfectly in tact. Most of the main arteries throughout the state are passable now as road crews and the National Guard have been working day and night to make repairs.
This might just be the best time to visit Vermont. Many hotels, inns and restaurants are running post-Irene specials. Businesses will be very happy to see you! The renaissance has begun… help us get it into full swing. Vermont is still the best place to vacation in the Fall.
