The summer quarterly meeting for Vermont's professional woodworking group, VWMA. Held at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, Vermont, this is how meetings should be done, don't you think?

The Vermont Wood Manufacturing Association VWMA is a group of over 100 woodworking companies throughout the Green Mountain state who are collaborating to make Vermont the fine furniture capital of America.  Our companies provide jobs for over 6000 vermonters and produce everything from fine wood furniture to bowls, toys, carvings, flooring, windows, doors and much more.

Last week we convened for our summer meeting at the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock, Vermont.  What a beautiful place!  I'd highly recommend it for Vermont travelers wanting to "Walk through one of Vermont's most beautiful landscapes, under the shade of sugar maples and 400-year-old hemlocks, across covered bridges and alongside rambling stone walls."

The park's Visitors Center is open all summer and besides enjoying the landscape, visitors can tour the incredible Rockefeller mansion and gardens as well as the Billings sustainable farm.

In the winter these venues are closed but you can still enjoy the park's 20 miles of trails and carriage roads for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. If you're lucky, you might even see a bobcat in the park!
