Vermont Fine Furniture Featured in Natural Business News

July 23rd, 2010 by Peggy Farabaugh

Many thanks to Matt Levine of Natural Business News whose article on Vermont Woods Studios fine handcrafted furniture appeared in their June issue.  Matt thinks our retractable pop up TV console is the coolest thing for techies wanting to go green.  He also featured our  Vermont Modern Bed with the  retractable TV lift built into the footboard… for couch potato techies who want to watch a stylish flat screen TV without leaving the comfort of their own beds.

Check out Matt’s LevineReport for interesting articles on all types of natural businesses.  Best of luck with your excellent publication, Matt!

Re-Purpose Your Old Entertainment Center

June 25th, 2010 by Peggy Farabaugh

Sometimes when customers purchase a new media center console or TV stand from Vermont Woods Studios, they ask us to cart away the old one.  As LCDs take over the TV world the big old entertainment center consoles are becoming obsolete.  We saw this creative idea for re-purposing them and as friends of the earth and believers in the Three R's, we had to pass it along.

Erin Woodward dreamed up the first version of this clever idea for her daughter's third birthday and transformed her entertainment center into a play kitchen.

She inspired several others, including Amy of Giggleberry Creations.  Check these guys out and take notes.  Then let me know if you decide to make an attempt at it yourself.  We want to see the result!

And we also want you to check out our modern, handmade TV stands and consoles custom built specifically for today's newer LCD TVs.  A fitting reward for anyone who takes on such an admirable project.
