The Green Team went all out this year with Halloween Costume preparation! From pirates, to goths, witches, bikers, 80s chicks, cowboys and dopplegangers–we all had a great time dressing up and enjoying a festive Halloween potluck! We even had a costume contest & a runway show, with winners in most original (Dennis), scariest (Douglas), funniest (Sean as Peggy), cutest (Liz) and overall best costume (Neville)! Days like today make all of the hard work we do at the office a lot more fun. Enjoy this mini-slideshow of our Halloween extravaganza! Happy Halloween!!

Hurricane Sandy started tip-toeing in to Vernon this morning bringing a spooky Halloween greeting to everyone at Vermont Woods Studios. It’s been frightening hearing so much news about her colossal size and brutal behavior! We had a hard time focusing on our work, even though it was pretty calm and quiet all morning. It was like being in a Halloween fun house: scary because you never know when a demon is going to all of a sudden jump out in front of you.
By 2pm today, the rain started and winds began to pick up so we decided to make a run for it. The office will be closed for the rest of today to allow our staff time to hunker down and prepare for the worst. Hopefully Hurricane Sandy is more bark than bite and we’ll be back in business tomorrow. In the meantime, our website is operating just fine so you can still place orders online safely and securely. If you have any questions about your order, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can. Stay safe!

I'm just getting back from a weekend trip up North to Plattsburgh, NY (200 miles north) to visit my mother. While we were enjoying a beautiful, sunny Fall day and feeding the Canadain geese who stopped to rest at the CVPH Medical Center, my friends to the South were getting covered with 15" of heavy wet snow. How weird is that?
Sun and fun in Plattsburgh, NY yesterday.
By the time I got back down to Brattleboro, there were trees and branches down everywhere, power outages and traffic accidents. All this snow made me wonder what lies ahead for the geese and other migrating birds as they head South.
It's not a very nice Halloween trick for Mother Nature to play on them.
Time to fill up the bird feeders.
