presidents' day furniture sale

Do you ever notice that in-between the winter holiday season and Spring, we’re stuck with filing taxes, flu season, shoveling our cars out of snow and an innate desire to hunker down indoors? Other than the anticipation of coming out of hibernation there seems to be little to get excited about, right?

I recently wrote about how during all of this time I’ve been spending indoors, I’ve noticed how my family’s living room furniture is in major need of replacing. Have you been feeling that way too this Winter? Like me, have you been staring at that old TV console and growing more and more dislike for it everyday or do the scratches on your dining room table become more apparent everyday?

Well we say stop making yourself go stir-crazy and treat yourself to some new furnishings! We’re having a Storewide Presidents’ Day Furniture Sale! From Friday, February 12 through Thursday, February 18 you can save 15% off your purchase of our handmade hardwood furniture. All of our furniture comes from sustainably harvested wood from here in the Northeast and is made by local craftspeople. All of our furniture is available in Cherry, Maple, Oak and Walnut woods.

Now’s the time to save on that solid wood dining table you’ve been wanting or that new bed you’ve been dreaming about!

And, speaking of beds-we’re also having a Copeland Bedroom Furniture Sale!

I’m sure you’ve heard the saying, “Money can’t buy you happiness.” To prove that so, a study 75 years in the making (The Harvard Study of Adult Development) found that overwhelmingly happiness comes from quality relationships with family, friends and community. And I couldn’t agree more. Continue reading

New Year Storewide Furniture Sale
Celebrate and cheers to the new year!

Start 2016 Off Right!

People love to make New Year’s Resolutions and every year a majority of those people fail to see their goals come to fruition–I know I can count myself as one of those people. But why do we set ourselves up for failure right from the start? According to a 2013 Forbes.com article, 40% of Americans make New Year’s Resolutions but only 8% achieve their goals.

Maybe it’s our need for self-improvement or an internal competitive trait that makes us set–often times–unrealistic goals for ourselves. This year why don’t we all set more tangible goals and give ourselves the chance to make a successful change in our lives.

This year I know I want to spend more time outside, but how do I measure that? My goal is going to be to complete my screened-in porch “rejuvenation” project (different from a renovation) and to create a patio where my family, friends and I can relax. (Lets check back in on those projects in the Spring).

Are your wheels turning now? Are you rethinking your 2016 goals? If you’re leaning towards a renovation or “rejuvenation” of a room then we can help!

Starting today, January 1st and going through January 7th, save 15% on all of our handmade wood furniture during our New Year Storewide Furniture Sale.

(*Some exclusions apply.)

Choose from over hundreds of pieces of fine Vermont made wood furniture in Cherry, Maple, Oak and Walnut woods. All of our furniture is handmade and built to order, so don’t worry if you’d like to make an adjustment.

Shop conveniently online from the comfort of your home or give us a call at 888-390-5571 to order by phone or to discuss any questions you may have. If you’re in the area or planning a trip to Vermont anytime soon, we’d love to see you in person and show you around our historic showroom.

So whether you’re replacing one piece of furniture, finally getting new dining chairs to match your table or redoing your entire bedroom, take pleasure in knowing that you can accomplish your New Year’s Resolution with furniture that will last year after year.

Save Up To 20% Off Our Handmade Wood Furniture This Holiday Season!

Last weekend, as I was on my way to a Yankee Swap, I stopped at the mall to pick up my last minute gift and as I pulled into the entrance I said to myself, “You’ve got to be kidding me?!” I was greeted by police. They were directing traffic, patrolling the lots and probably just as happy to see me as I was to see them. As I drove around the mall almost every single parking spot was taken. I circled like a hawk to see if there was anywhere less congested and unsurprisingly there wasn’t!

As I finally parked and started walking into the mall I thought to myself, is this really the way we measure the holidays now? When I got into the mall though I quickly realized why everyone was there. Unbeatable sale prices.

I almost lost track of why I was there in the first place. Once I gathered my senses, I bought a candle and tea for the Swap and got out of there as fast as I could.

As I started to drive home the next day I found myself back at the mall. I just couldn’t leave knowing there were such great deals without getting myself something. So I trekked back through the clogged corridors of the mall and squeezed between shoppers to find the few items I had been holding off on buying.

I left feeling satisfied. I hadn’t fallen into any major sale “traps”, I used coupons when I could and I got what I needed and had been wanting to get at a better price than I would’ve if I had waited.

I think most of us like to scoff at the materialism that has taken over the holiday season but, one thing can’t be argued, the deals that extend to all types of products can’t be beat. December has indeed become a great season to make major purchases.

So with that in mind, it’s time to kick off our annual Year End Holiday Furniture Sale. Starting today (through years end) go ahead and treat yourself to some beautiful real hardwood furniture and save. During the sale you will save 10% off one piece of furniture, 15% off two pieces and 20% off three or more pieces storewide. All of our furniture is handmade right here in Vermont and is available in Cherry, Maple, Oak and Walnut woods.

You can shop conveniently and safely from the comfort of your home all while avoiding the hoards of people flocking to the mall for last minute gifts.

Our website is designed to make the buying process as easy and helpful as possible, but if you have any questions or if something is unclear about a piece of furniture you’re interested in, please don’t hesitate to call our Showroom toll free at 888-390-5571.
