Copeland furniture is one of Vermont’s most recognizable home furniture brands. For over 30 years, Tim Copeland and his family have been building a reputation for world class, high end furniture in a variety of crisp, clean designs. Shaker style defined Copeland’s early furniture but over the years many additional styles have evolved. The Monterey collection (shown above) blends Asian design with elements of traditional American Arts and Crafts. More recent collections like the Astrid, Catalina and SoHo collections reflect American mid-century modern designs.
If you’re looking to purchase Copeland furniture, like most shoppers you’re probably looking for the best price. And you’ve noticed that all retailers are charging essentially the same price. Well, that’s no coincidence. Like many furniture companies, Copeland publishes a minimum price that retailers must abide by. This is the lowest price you’ll ever see on Copeland furniture in any retail store. It’s a fair price and commensurate with the true value of Copeland’s furniture. It’s meant to help keep Copeland’s retailers from going out of business, declaring bankruptcy and damaging the Vermont furniture industry. Thus if you’re shopping for Copeland furniture you’re not going to get less than this price unless you’re buying a floor model, a return or a scratch and ding sample.
So… first thing when shopping for Copeland furniture is to make sure you insist on getting this minimum price.
Next thing, especially if you’re shopping online is to negotiate the lowest price for white glove shipping and delivery. This is an important service as you do not want a box full of expensive, high end, HEAVY furniture being delivered to your home by UPS. Or placed on the curbside (a common practice) when you have no way to get it into the house and possibly up a flight of stairs or two.
The best way to save on white glove shipping is to purchase Copeland furniture as a set. If a retailer charges the typical $300 per item for white glove shipping and delivery, that adds up quickly. Buy the furniture as a set instead and pay a total of $450 to ship all the pieces together. Buying several pieces? You could save hundreds or even thousands.
At Vermont Woods Studios, because we are just down the road from Copeland Furniture we ship more efficiently and economically than other retailers. That savings is passed on to our customers. We are committed to offering the best prices on Copeland Furniture and even have a low price guarantee.
Now that you know how to get the best price, check out nine more reasons to buy Copeland furniture from Vermont Woods Studios.

Copeland Furniture, just down the road from us in Bradford, Vermont is famous for it's modern, contemporary solid wood bedroom furniture. A couple years ago, Copeland introduced the new Frank Lloyd Wright® Collection of authentic reproduction prairie-style furniture designed by America's foremost architect.
Well, now Copeland is introducing another new series of high end furniture, The Catalina Walnut Dining Room Collection.
The tables, chairs and buffets are all in sync with Catalina's retro-modern shapes and sensibilities, relying on simple, elegant lines that have just enough curve– but not too much. Walnut is the only wood used for the Catalina collection and it is available in both natural wood (as shown) or in a darker slate-on-walnut stain. Dennis and Manjula are working feverishly to get all of the Catalina dining collection pieces up on our website and ready for purchase by week's end. In the meantime, if you have any questions, give us a call.
All Copeland's furniture is 100% American made, right here in Vermont.

Over the last month or two Dennis and Manjula have added a couple hundred new Copeland American Made Furniture– beds, chests, dressers and other furniture pieces to our website. Now we have to re-organize a bit so it's easy to find what you're looking for.
We've created quite a few new categories to browse by, including one for Furniture Best Sellers. These are the most popular pieces in our Vermont made furniture store. Most of them will look familiar to you, especially if you have that natural, solid Shaker Sensibilty that draws many wood furniture shoppers and interior design professionals to our store.
But others are a surprise! Copeland's modern, contemporary Catalina bedroom set and their Monterey Arts & Crafts style bedroom sets are coming on strong and fast becoming our new best sellers. Have a look and let me know which furniture peices or collection you like best.

Copeland Furniture in Bradford, Vermont makes stunningly beautiful furniture and they've gotten so good at marketing it that web-based shopping carts are lining up to carry it online. You can find Copeland furniture right next to pet accessories, dishwashers and printer paper at stores like Amazon.com, Ebay, Yahoo and Yliving.
Then there are dozens of retailers based overseas that appear to sell Copeland Furniture, but their websites don't have any "about us" or "contact us" info, so who knows? I often find scrambled versions of my own blogs and website content pasted into their product pages so I don't have much confidence that anyone's really there… other than a computer and a cash register, maybe.
So if you're considering Copeland Furniture, we thought you might be interested in knowing where the best place to buy it is.
Well, of course we think it's Vermont Woods Studios and we've come up with the Top 10 Reasons Why. Besides the lifetime guarantee (which no other retailer I know of offers), low price guarantee, free shipping and our relentless customer service, there is one fact that other stores just can't duplicate. Copeland furniture is made in VT and Vermont is where we live. We are the leading authority on Vermont made furniture. It's all we sell. It's what we know. It's what we believe in. And we'll be here selling Vermont made furniture for the long haul.
One more reason. Vermont Woods Studios was founded to showcase Vermont's handcrafted wood furniture in a way that raises awareness about where your furniture comes from. We use a portion of the profits from each piece of furniture to conserve forests, plant trees and save endangered species from going extinct due to habitat destruction. But that story's for another day. Thanks for reading!

Last month I mentioned that we had made the decision to add Copeland Furniture's beautiful Vermont made collection to our online furniture store. Since then we've been researching and studying the details about this luxury furniture line. I am amazed at the diversity of styles and construction designs offered by Copeland. And at the affordability they have engineered into their furniture through high-precision processes.
Tim Copeland started his company in 1974 as a one-man operation in a garage in rural Vermont. His earlier designs were inspired by Shaker furniture but now Copeland Furniture offers many creative styles including Shaker, Mid Century modern, Danish, Scandinavian, Asian, Arts and Crafts, Japanese, and transitional designs.
Dennis is our point person on Copeland Furniture and he's been feverishly working away over the last several weeks. He's drafted over 100 new Copeland product pages and has been bringing the rest of us up to speed on Copeland styles and construction details. My job is to polish and publish Dennis' draft pages. Kendall is creating information pages that explain construction details and finish options for the different collections. Manjula is orchestrating the whole project and fixing our mistakes as we go.
So far we've been able to add most of the products in Copeland's Berkeley, Catalina, Harbor Island, Horizon and Lily collections. I figure we're about 30% through the project but we're picking up speed and we're hoping to have it complete within a couple weeks. In the meantime, if you're interested in purchasing and our website doesn't yet have the details you need, you can find our Copeland Furniture catalog, policies and prices here. Or give Rebecca and Shannon a call at 888-390-5571 with your questions. We'll look forward to hearing your thoughts about this new Vermont made furniture line.
