A Natural Cherry Parsons Table and Chairs

August 7th, 2009 by Peggy Farabaugh

Parsons-table Traditional mission style furniture was built with oak wood, but in recent years, black cherry has been the wood of choice.  We've been building mission furniture in natural cherry for many years. Customers who love the simple, elegant lines of mission furniture but want to break from the tradition of oak, find that natural cherry brings a fresh look and feel to the style.

We just completed this classic Parson's Table in natural cherry.  What do you think?  It's pretty versatile.  It can fit in with almost any kitchen or dining room, whether the existing decor is traditional mission-style, contemporary Danish, modern New England, urban or what have you.

The matching Parson's Chairs shown here are a variation of the classic mission style, updated with comfortable, wide slats and a choice of scooped wooden seats or fabric seats.

We'll have this table available on our website soon, but feel free to give us a call at Vermont Woods Studios if you just can't wait.
